So, this past week was my least favorite work week of the month. Why, you ask? Because Brandon and I work opposite schedules and I only get to see him for maybe 15 minutes total from Tuesday-Friday. I hate not getting to just spend time with my husband... and a five minute "Hey, I love you, Gotta go" sealed with a kiss just isn't hardly long enough for me to get my Brandon fix. I'm so thankful that we have another month before we have to do it again. Ugh! Haha
The rest of this week was mostly uneventful. I worked Tuesday-Thursday which mostly means that while I wasn't actually working, I was sleeping. Haha! Thursday Mom and Dad met with a mediator and finalized everything with their divorce. I'm mostly happy for it finally being over so that we all can move on, but somewhat sad because it is really truly over. I just want them both to be happy, no matter what, and I'm hoping now they can be with nothing else weighing them down. Saturday night Brandon, Brenna, Tyler, Dad, Retta, and the rest of the Canton gang went to see Balsam Range in concert in Canton. They're such an incredible band and we had an absolute blast! Brandon loved them, like I knew he would, and we vowed to go see them again hopefully in July at a BBQ and Bluegrass festival in Spruce Pine. We headed home right after the concert to get in bed so that we could get up early for my concealed carry class on Sunday. God bless my sweet husband, he was my companion all day when he had already had the class and didn't need to actually stay with me. I'm proud to say I passed with flying colors, and now I get to start carrying my Christmas present from Brandon! ;) Today, we got up and went to have Breakfast with Jessica and Ryan. After Breakfast we let our pups have a play date. Fisher and Mia hit it off fast and are most definitely boyfriend and girlfriend! Haha After, we came home, napped, and then went and had dinner with Cameron, Jacqueline, and Bryson. It was nice having today to catch up with our friends, and to get some much needed rest, because frankly I don't think either of us get enough.
Brandon and I are starting to pray about some really big decisions that we will most likely be making in the next 1-1.5 years. We're excited about our future and some of our big plans, and we are praying that they come together just like God wants them to in our lives. :)
Sorry this is so short, but I honestly can't hold my eyes open too much longer! Haha this girl is gonna curl up in the warm arms of her hubby and call today done! :)
See you next Monday! :D
